  2. Simultaneous Renewal “What comes first, good schools or good teacher education programs? The answer is that both must come together. The long-term solution - unfortunately, there is no quick one - is to renew the two together.” -(Goodlad, 1994, p.2) Use an approach that involves technology integration initiatives and strategies that impact the entire educational process. Focused on change and renewal in an organization as it relates to faculty, teacher and student development

Comprehensive Approach Variety of Technology Integration Efforts -Building upon previous successes • Faculty Development: Mentoring • Field Experiences:Building Collaborations • Project Opportunity (Preservice Cohort Model) • Curriculum Redesign • In-depth Preparation: Educational Computing Minor • Extra-curricular Activity: The Educational Computing Club (TECC)

  4. Technology Collaboratives Vision - use technology as a tool to facilitate renewal in both a teacher education program and K-12 schools. Focus - establish a collaborative learning community where expertise and resources are shared; rethink the use of technology in classrooms • TechCo Cohort (preservice teachers) • Technology Scholars (teacher education faculty) • K-12 Teacher Collaborations & Staff Development • Master Teacher (from partner school) • Field Experiences (earlier and more often)
