Los novenosestanorganizandounarecaudacion de fondos en la fincaSantamariaeste fin de semana. Unase a un equipo de 6 jugadores, pague 8,000₡ y asista al torneo. Todaslasedades y niveles de habilidades son bienvenidos! Disfrute de un plato de comida sabrosapor $5/plato. 28 de enero, lunes – Reunion paraplanificar la Carrera del CEC 5:30-7pm @ ChocoCafe (cerca de correos de Costa Rica) – La comision de padres les invita a todos – maestr@s, padres y empleados – quetenganinteres en apoyar la Carrera anual, uno de los mas grandeseventospararecaudarfondos. La Carrera es el 10 de marzo y necesitamossuayudaparaasegurarque sea un exito. Por favor, apoyenos! 2 de febrero, sabado– Padres Dia de Limpieza 8am-12pm @ CEC – Noshacefalta la ayuda de todosparamantenernuestratierralimpia y bonita. Por favor, juntemonoseste fin de semanaparatrabajar en proyectosimportantes de mantenimiento y limpieza. 12 de febrero – CAMBIO DE HORA! Parillada de la Amistad 3-6pm @ CEC – Venga a celebrar el dia de san valentin con la comision de padres y todaslasfamilias del CEC. Los boletos van a la casa con los estudiantes en la primerasemana de febrero. Cuestan 1500₡ por persona (niño o adulto) y compra un plato de carne, ensalada y escabeche. Necesitamosvoluntariosparaprepararactividadespara los estudiantes. Si tieneinteres, por favor contacte a Kathia. Mas detallesenseguida! 22 de febrero, viernes – CAMBIO DE FECHA! ¡Viernes de la Familia! ¡ Juego de Futbol por la Familia! 4pm-6pm @ CEC – Todasnuestrasfamiliasestaninvitadas a nuestraprimeraactividad familiar mensual. Cadames, algunosempleados del CEC van a organizar un evento o actividadparalasfamilias del CEC. Desdepeliculas hasta clases de cocina y bailes. Esemes (febrero) vamos a organizar un juego de futbol. Los padres y susniños van a compartir comida, pasar la tardejuntos y divertirnos mucho. No hay quepagar nada, solo traeralgodeliciosoparacompartir. Y, sitieneuna idea o le gustariaorganizarunaactividad, por favor, digale a Kathia! Todaslas ideas y participacion son bienvenidas!

  2. 23rd Edition, 2012-13 January 25, 2013 IMPORTANT DATES Jan 27, Sunday – Soccer Tournament @ Santamarias’ Farm 10am-3pm – Cheer your classmates, teachers, and parents on to victory, enjoy some delicious food, and support the 9th grade class, all at the same time! The 9th graders are organizing a fundraiser at the Santamarias’ Farm (over the school hill towards Cañitas) this weekend! Pull together a team of 6 players, pay 8,000₡ and you will be entered into the tournament. All ages, all ability levels are welcome! There will be a delicious lunch to purchase for $5/plate. Jan 28, Monday – Parent & Staff Planning Meeting: Cloud Forest School Run/Walk 5:30-7pm @ ChocoCafe (formerly Monteverde Café), down the hill from the post office – The Parents Commission invites all interested teachers, staff and parents to attend this important meeting to begin planning for one of our biggest annual fundraisers. The Carrera (Run) will take place on March 10th and we need your help to make it a huge success. Please join us! Feb 2, Saturday – Parent Volunteer Day 8am-12pm @ CEC – We need everyone’s help to keep our campus beautiful. Please join us this weekend to work on important maintenance & cleaning projects. Feb 12, Friday – TIME CHANGE! Friendship Barbeque 3-6pm @ CEC – Come celebrate St. Valentine’s Day with the Parents’ Commission and all of our CEC families! Tickets will be sent home with students in the first week of February. Tickets cost 1500₡ per person (child or adult) and will purchase a plate of meat, salad and a side dish. We need volunteers to help arrange activities for the students. If you are interested, please contact Kathia. More details to follow! Feb 22, Friday – DATE CHANGE! Family Friday! All-Family Soccer Game! 4pm-6pm @ CEC – All families are welcome to our first Family Friday. Every month CEC staff will host an event or activity for CEC families. From movies to cooking lessons to dance parties, parents and their children will share snacks, spend time together, and have fun. This month (February) we will have an all-family soccer game! There is no charge, just bring something delicious to share. And if you have an idea or would like to organize an activity, please, tell Kathia! All ideas and participation are welcome!
