  5. Who Serves on TPC? Elected officials or their designated representatives: • Cities • Counties Transportation officials: • TxDOT • METRO • Freight transportation Non-voting advisory members

  6. Products Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) • A continuing, comprehensive & cooperative planning process between H-GAC, counties, cities, public, TxDOT & METRO • Blueprint for future transportation development • Minimum 20-year planning horizon • Updated every two to four years

  7. Products Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) • First 4 years of RTP • Listing of funded projects • Roadway, transit, bike & pedestrian, air quality improvement projects, etc. • Amended as necessary

  8. Products Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) • Describes planning activities in the region • Updated every two years • Includes federal, state and locally funded initiatives • One of the first steps in the project development pipeline

  9. Public Involvement • H-GAC—one of many agencies • Provide information • Solicit comment early in process • Relay information to policy-makers
