  3. Project Overview • A remote controlled quadcopter with 3 axis stabilization. The quadcopter can be controlled by Android device via Bluetooth. With the installation of GPS module, the quadcopter can be positioned on Google map. The gripper is integrated the onto quadcopter to deliver small object.

  5. Design Challenges • Flight control and stabilization • The communication between microcontroller system and android system • Communication between microcontroller and peripheral commercial parts • Fail safe if disconnected • Packaging

  6. Individual Contributions • Team Leader – Xiang Zhang • Team Member 2 – Yifeng Chen • Team Member 3 – JiajuYue • Team Member 4 – HuayiGuo

  7. Team Leader – Xiang Zhang Role: Hardware Engineer Task and Contributions: Design the schematics Verify and solder the PCB Test the robotic gripper and integrate the quadcopter Adjust the flight parameters to achieve a stable flight Dedicate to pilot the quadcopter Packaging designs

Member 2 – Yifeng Chen Role: System Engineer, Software Engineer Tasks and Contributions: Design Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design and develop software on microcontroller side - Write drivers for off-chip modules - Design partially the main program on microcontroller Assist software engineer and hardware engineer test and debug the integrated system

Member 3 – Jiaju Yue Role: System Engineer, Hardware Engineer Tasks and Contributions: Design and support the development of flight control on microcontroller Test and adjust the PWM signal to perform stable flight Test and maintain the mechanical parts Support software engineer to debug the main program General support: Packaging, Poster, Demo Video

  10. Member 4 – Huayi Guo Role: Software Engineer Tasks and Contributions: Design and implement Android application Design partially the main program on microcontroller Test and debug the integrated system with the hardware engineer and system engineer

  11. Project Demonstration • An ability to manually control by the user via Bluetooth interface implemented on Android mobile device. • An ability to land and take off autonomously • An ability to provide GPS position information on the user interface • An ability to provide battery information on the user interface • An ability to deliver and drop a load by a robotic gripper at a target location
