  1. AIP Phone Scripts • Use these scripts to aid students in overcoming obstacles in telephone prospecting and overcoming objections.

  2. “Not Interested” Scripts • #1. Many of the young people I’ve helped felt they weren’t interested until after they heard my offer. What I have to share with you about Army scholarships (or, whatever feature your highlighting) will only take about 30 minutes. Is your future worth 30 minutes?

  3. “Not Interested” Scripts • #2. I know you’re not interested today, John or whom ever your talking with. (Laugh). But does that mean you’ll never be interested? What if college doesn’t turn out as you expect it to? What if you get sick of the vicious cycle of working, studying, taking mid-terms, finals, etc.?

  4. “Not Interested” Scripts • #3. That’s the same thing I told my recruiter when he called __________ years ago. But after he showed me what the Army had to offer, I got real interested -- I mean where else can you get marketable skill training, and Associates Degree, and $70K for college after you get out?

  5. “Not Interested” Scripts • #4. I get that reaction all the time. All the recruiters call and bug you. But I’m different. I realize you’re not going to enlist today or tomorrow. My focus is on you and your future. It’ll only take me about 30 minutes to show you five ways that Uncle Sam can pay for your education. I’d like to see you……...

  6. “Not Interested” Scripts • #5. Everyone says that until they hear what I have to say. You’re serious about your future, right? All I’m talking about is investing 30 minutes of your time now that could very well guarantee your future success-- you never know. Are you saying your future’s not worth 30 minutes? Good, I can...

  7. “4 Year College” Scripts • #1. Great! That’s exactly why I called. When can we get together to discuss your plans? My calendar says I’m free on Tuesday at seven-thirty or …….

  8. “4-Year College” Scripts • #2. Great! A college degree is your ticket to a good salary and the kind of life you want and deserve. Believe it or not, programs I want to share with you have paid for more college degrees in the last 50 years then most people realize-- in fact they completely changed life in America. When can you get together for about 30 minutes?

  9. “4- Year College” Scripts • #3. Great! In fact, my purpose in calling you this evening is to show you how to avoid becoming a college casualty -- did you know about half of those enrolling never make it to graduation? Despite their best intentions, 35 percent drop-out their first year. When can we get together?

  10. “4- Year College” Scripts • #4. Great! That’s exactly why I called. Did you know that last year we guaranteed over ___________ in college dollars to students from your school/this area? But money is only part of the equation -- I’d like to get together and discuss the rest of the story. I’m free on Thursday at……………

  11. “4 Year College” Scripts • #5. Great! That’s exactly why I called. We have some unbelievable new scholarship opportunities. When could we get together to discuss them……?

  12. “4 Year College” Scripts • #6. Great! That’s exactly why I called. We have four ways to finance your education and over 600 schools that cater to military clientele should you decide to enlist someday. Better still, I can show you how to double your chances of graduating. When can we get together?

  13. “4 Year College” Scripts • #7. Great! That’s exactly why I called. We have a way for select students to enroll in college now and earn over $125K toward their education in just four years. When can we get together to discuss how this might fit in your plans?

  14. “4 Year College” Scripts • #8. Great! That’s a good choice of schools. It may surprise you to know that we are currently financing the education of over__________ exceptional students at (that school). Can you invest 30 minutes of your time to discover how you might secure your future? I’m free on………..

  15. “4 Year College” Scripts • #9. Great! If I could show you a way to get your education and earn $125K in the process, would you invest 30 minutes of your time to talk with me about it?

  16. “4 Year College” Scripts • #10. Great! But let me get your answer to a question. How many students from (that college) dropped out last year? What I’d like to do is share an idea about how you can increase your academic performance and double your chances of graduating. When can we get together?

  17. “4 Year College” Scripts • #11. “It may be your goal in life to get a college degree. I’m not going to tell you to go a different direction. But let me show you a different way to get from A to Z. How to go to college and get job skills at the same time-- and not get stuck paying off big loans afterward”

  18. “Send Me Info” Scripts • #1. I can do that. I’ve found in the past, though, that Army pamphlets usually raise more questions than answers. I can easily highlight how we can help you secure your future in about 30 minutes. My calendar is open on Tuesday at…...

  19. “Send Me Info” Scripts • #2. I can do that. I’ve found in the past, though, that Army pamphlets don’t tell the whole story. Our pamphlets will probably raise questions that I can easily answer in about 30 minutes. My calendar is open on Tuesday at… or Wednesday at……… Which will work best for you?

  20. “Send Me Info” Scripts • #3. Absolutely. I’ll get some info in the mail to you this afternoon. It looks like I’ll be in your neighborhood next week. Which evening would be best for me to stop by and answer the questions I’m sure you’ll have after reading just how good our programs really are?

  21. “Send Me Info” Scripts • #4. Sure, I can send you literature. But the only way to get a clear picture of what the Army offers, is to sit down with me. My calendar says I’m free on Thursday afternoon. What does your schedule look like? Let’s agree to meet for about 30 minutes..

  22. “Send Me Info” Scripts • #5. Sure, I can send you literature. But it will take longer for you to read it than it will for me to explain it. Besides, I think you’ll find me a little more interesting….

  23. “Community College” Scripts • #1. Really? What led you to choose Middlesex Community College? You know, I’m glad I reached you this evening. If I could show you a way to go directly to a 4-year college and bypass the junior college, would you be interested in sitting down with me for a few minutes?

  24. “Community College” Scripts • #2. Really! Let me ask you a key question. What percent of students from Middlesex Community College ever transfer and eventually earn a 4 year degree? What I’d like to do is share an idea about how you can go directly to a 4 year school and even this fall-- and double your chances of graduating. When can we get together?

  25. “VoTech” Scripts • #1. Really! What got you interested in electronics (or, whatever)? That’s great because we have a special program that might meet your needs exactly. The Army is at the cutting edge of the most sophisticated technology in the world today. When can we sit down for a few minutes to discuss how you can take advantage of…..

  26. “VoTech” Scripts • #2. Great! That’s a good choice of schools. Let me get your answer to a question though. How many students from (that votech) dropped out last year and how much money did they end up owing? What I’d like to do is share an idea about how you can earn a starting salary of over $20k while you learn computer technology( Or whatever). When can we get together?
