  2. Tiptree, Essex – Wednesday 20th August • Key Customer Themes: • Fuel Save: This theme continues in store. It is supported by standees and overhead signs. • Tesco Price Promise: This theme continues in store. It is supported by bus stops and snow ploughs. • Prices Down And Staying Down: This theme is supported by standees, overhead signs and bus stops. • Seasonal Aisle: This aisle has 2 bays dedicated to school stationery. There are huge overhead signs on entry to the store advertising 'School Shop Anything From Shirts To Sharpeners’, although there were only 2 bays in the store related to school items. • Clubcard Boost: This theme is supported in store with bus stops. • Tesco Bank: Car insurance is being advertised with overhead signs at checkouts. • General Feel: The store was clean, tidy and well stocked but lots of aisle end offers had snow ploughs missing. Tooting– Wednesday 20th August • Key Customer Themes: • Clubcard Fuel Save - Every shop counts: This theme is seen on bus stops and bunting at the FOS. • Prices Down And Staying Down: This theme was seen around the store on wobblers. • General Feel: There were a lot of stacks around the queuing area, especially beers on promotion. The shelves were slightly messy but the store was very busy with customers. Staff were helpful and were seen to be stacking shelves. There are also ladders on offer at the front of the store. • Rollback: This theme continues in store. It is supported by tax discs and shelf barkers. • School Shop: The seasonal aisle is stocked with school stationery. The school uniforms are in the clothing department. The theme is supported by directional hanging signs and header boards. • Summer Fun: There are several bays in the seasonal aisle dedicated to summer related items which are supported by header boards, bus stops and shelf edge strips. • Price Lock: This theme continues in store and is supported by overhead signs and bus stops. • Click And Collect: This theme is advertised with overhead signs at the checkouts and till point POS. • General Feel: The store was clean tidy and well stocked. Witham, Essex– Wednesday 20thAugust • Key Customer Themes: • Seasonal Aisle: There are 2 bays dedicated to school uniform, 2 bays dedicated to stationery and the other 5 bays are dedicated to outside related items including garden toys and BBQ coals. • Great Offers Including Half Price £1 And £2 Items: There are lots of aisle end offers which are supported by new look snow ploughs and overhead signs. • Pay Back Bonus - £15 Summer Bonus Continues In Store: This theme is supported by overhead signs at the checkouts. • New Opening Times - From 18th August The Store Is Open Longer From 7am To 9pm: This is advertised using outside banners and A boards. • General Feel: The store has undergone some minor improvements including a foyer with very little POS. Entry to the store feels more spacious. The fruit and veg counters have been updated. There is also new POS throughout the store. Additional signs with various different meal styles were also in store. • Summer Seasonal: 2 bays and a ladder rack displaying summer accessories were seen in store. • Back To School: 4 bays of school stationery and pack lunch carriers were advertised at half price. The theme was highlighted with overhead signs and bus stops. A further shipper displayed uniforms and a checkout supported children's books. • Brand Match - The deals you get at Asda and Tesco, without going to Asda and Tesco: This theme was seen though out the store on various signs. • Sainsbury's Bank / Mobile by Sainsbury's: Leaflets were displayed at every checkout. • General Feel: The summer and school themes seem to be the most impactful in store. Staff were also helpful and friendly. This was also advertised in the car park on a large banner. • M&S Bank - Pick Up A Leaflet:Signage was located on every checkout. • M&S Bank - Introducing the NEW M&S Current Account: Signage was located on every checkout. • General Feel: The summer and wine offer seemed to be the most impactful theme. The store was clean and tidy with shelves stacked well.
