Repeating & terminating decimals

- Decimals whose digits end are called terminating decimals.
- Ex: 0.375

- Decimals that have a pattern in their digits that repeats forever are called repeating decimals.
- Ex: When we write as a decimal, the three repeats indefinitely.

- We use bar notation to show that a number pattern repeats indefinitely.
- Ex: 0.333… is written as 0.
and 0.121212… is written as 0.
