  3. Who is Residence Life? Res Life • Residence Life is the people who take care of you while in the residence halls. • Community Assistants – Student staff members who live on each floor of every hall. • Hall Director – full time professionals who live in the hall. • Desk Assistants – Students who work at each front desk in every hall

  4. What do we do? Res Life • Promote academic success with Learning Lounges and Cole Student Success Center • Provide educational and social programs through the First-Year Commons program • Collaborate with faculty and staff advisors in our Residential Learning Communities

  5. What do we do? Res Life • Serve as a resource • Help solve your problems • Promote a safe and healthy environment

  6. Roommate/Suitemate Communication Res Life • Learn communication skills, conflict resolution and time management • Roommate agreements completed with CA during first 2 weeks • If an issue arises, try talking to your roommate/suitemate first • If that doesn’t work, the CA can help

  7. What happens if I get locked out or there is an emergency? Res Life • Contact the Front Desk • Contact your CA or HD • Call your UPD after hours • Do not lend out your ID!

  8. What is there to do on campus? Res Life • Get involved! • Join a Residential Learning Community • Student Involvement Center • Hall Council • Residence Hall Association • Support athletic and art events on campus
