Import procedure • List of items • Forma Invoice (CIF C&F FOB) • Sea Air Freight Currier, post, (by hand – illegal mostly) • Categorize whether licensed or not (Tariff codes etc) • Payment terms – TT, LC, DP, DA • If prices are ok – Send money (TT within 3 months consignment should be received) • Before dispatching need license applied and obtained • Once they dispatched – docs are sent

  8. Import procedure • Take the docs (from shipper/ freight forwarder- pay for that) • Get the stamp from banker – TT amount and invoice (If terms LC – docs comes to bank directly – payment is made and docs released)

  9. Import procedure • Go to Customs with the authenticated docs • Let the items be entered (Entry) into the systems and calculate the taxes, duties etc • If any needs license they also have to be produced with the docs • Pay the duties and taxes • Get the consignment cleared
