  2. PART ONE:Identifying the Enemy

  3. Your enemy, the devil (who) prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him…1 Peter 4:8-9

  4. “Not everyone who says to me, LORD, LORD, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”Matt. 7:21

  5. SO PLEASE REMEMBER, SATAN IS THE ENEMY AGAINST WHOM WE FIGHT!Not each other!

  6. PART TWO:Denying Self /Submitting to Others

  7. WE CANNOT BE ONEWITH CHRIST UNLESS WE SUBMIT TO ONE ANOTHER

  8. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.Matt: 22:37-40

  9. “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ”.Eph. 5:21

  10. “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established”.Rom. 13:1

  11. “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the LORD”.Eph. 5:22 and I Peter 3:1

  12. “Children, obey your parents in the LORD, for this is right, Honor your father and mother” – which is the first commandment with a promise – that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth”.Eph. 6:1-3

  13. “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart”.Eph. 6:5-6

  14. “Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you”.Hebrews 13:17

  15. CLOSING COMMENTS:

  16. “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you… May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”John 17:20-21 and 23

  17. “All the believers were one in heart and mind…”Acts 4:32

  18. “Do not be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”.Romans 12: 2

  19. If each of us will seek the mind of Christ and LET GOD transform our minds to be like him, we WILL have the same mind with one another.

  20. “So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation”.II Corinthians 5:16-19

  21. “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.Matt. 5:23 – 24

  22. “If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you.”Matt. 18:15

  23. “As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation”.

  24. “Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, BECAUSE TO THIS YOU WERE CALLED SO THAT YOU MAY INHERIT A BLESSING!I Peter 3: 8-9
