Wednesday, March 19, 2014 Finger Lakes Community College 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. FLCC Canandaigua Campus 3325 Marvin Sands Drive Canandaigua, NY 14424 • Cardio Pulmonary Services • Drug and Alcohol Rehab • Laparoscopy Surgery • Licensed Practical Nursing • Diagnostic Imaging Professional Speakers with Live Demonstrations • Chiropractor • Pharmacist • Nurse Educator-Diabetes • Massage Therapy • Developmental Disabilities • Lab Work • Physicians’ Assistant • Certified Nursing Assistant • Occupational Therapy Training Providers and Employers • Heritage Christian Services • Finger Lakes Community College • FF Thompson Health • Finger Lakes Health • Lifetime Care • Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing • Seneca Nursing and Rehab • Wayne County Nursing Home • Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES

  3. This year’s event saw 264 students from 16 school districts. 

  4. Information from 12 different exhibitors about training programs and career opportunities was made available to all in attendance.

  5. Employers were on site to discuss current job openings.

  6. Fifteen informational workshops.

  7. And the “hands on” activities……

  8. “I liked the surgical tech it was very interesting.”-Erica

  9. “I liked the simulators the best because it was the most hands on.”-John

  10. “I liked learning about the nursing requirements because it gives me more of an idea of what I want to be”-Kayla

  11. “Hands on activities helped me understand how it is in real life.”- Hannah

  12. “I liked the surgical tech because of how they demonstrated the tools”-Nicole

  13. “I enjoyed the hands-on portions of the presentations because they created conversation among the students. The information on education requirements, salaries and job outlook were excellent.” – Nick (a chaperone)

  14. “We were able to be creative and do what we wanted – Able to be interactive with the students!” – Keuka College representatives
