Sumerian Empire • Was an ancient civilizationand historical region in southern Mesopotamiamodern Iraq. • Although the earliest historical records in the region do not go back much further than ca. 2900 BC, modern historians. • Prehistoric people are now called "proto-Euphrateans. • The Ubaidians were the first civilizing force in Sumer.

  3. Akkadian Empire • Its surrounding region in ancient Mesopotamia which united all the indigenous Akkadian. • During the 3rd millennium BC, there developed a very intimate cultural symbiosis. • The Akkadian Empire reached its political peak between the 24th and 22nd centuries BC. • Akkad is sometimes regarded as the first empire in history.

Babylonian Empire • Babylonia was an ancient Semitic nation state and cultural region based in central-southern Mesopotamia. • Babylonia became the major power in the region after Hammurabi. • The earlier Akkadian and Sumerian traditions played a major role in Babylonian. • The earliest mention of the city of Babylon can be found in a tablet from the reign of Sargon of Akkad.

Kassites/Hittites Empire • The Kassites were an ancient Near Eastern people who gained control of Babylonia. • The Kassite language is thought to have been related to Hurrian. • The Hittites were an ancient Anatolian people who established an empire at Hattusa. • Hattians, an earlier people who inhabited the same region until the beginning of the 2nd millennium BC.

Assyrian Empire • Are a distinct ethnic group whose origins lie in ancient Mesopotamia. • They made the chariots and the spears. • Assyrians trace their ancestry back to the Sumero-Akkadian civilization that emerged in Mesopotamia. • The Assyrian nation existed as an independent state, and often a powerful empire.

  7. Neo Babylonian Empire • The Neo-Babylonian Empire or the Chaldean Empire was a period of Mesopotamian history. • During the preceding three centuries, Babylonia had been ruled by their fellow Akkadian. • Throughout that time Babylonia enjoyed a prominent status. • The Assyrians had managed to maintain Babylonian loyalty through the Neo-Assyrian period.

  8. Summary All the eras are about when the empires ruled most of Mesopotamia (present bay Iraq). And how most empires made things for there horses. And empire that have historic monuments.
