In the end all stress factors inhibit CO2 uptake. Than the Calvin Cycle does not need anymore assimilatory power. In the light a feed back reaction creates reactive oxygen species (ROSINT) at PSI and PSII. If ROSINT overload the stress compensation capacity, the cell will get destroyed.
