  1. Toilet Paper Disintegration By: Travis Robinson Mr. Cossey Period 5 October 19, 2004

  2. Purpose & Hypothesis Purpose:To determine which type of toilet paper dissolves faster. Hypothesis: If tested against the others, than T.P. D or Charmin Ultra, will dissolve the fastest.

  3. Parts of the Experiment Materials: Bowl, Timer, Toilet Paper, Water, Stirring stick, Graduated cylinder. Independent Variable: Brand of Toilet Paper Dependent Variable: Amount of time taken to dissolve.

  4. Constants & Control Constants: Amount of paper inserted, amount of water, and the power put into each stir. Control: Average time for each brand

  5. Procedure Procedure: 1. Fill a bowl with 500 ml of water 2. Insert 3 sheets of the first brand 3. Start timer 4. Stir until the paper splits into to pieces 5. Stop timer 6. Repeat steps 1-5 with each brand 7. Write down results in data tables 8. Find the average time for each brand 9. Find the best brand.

  7. Conclusion I was actually wrong in that given by the evidence, the Albertson’s Value Soft actually dissolves the fastest.
