  5. ANSWER • Tribute systems—impact on the periphery islands (Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines) • Firearms—impacts Japan • Christianity—impacts the Philippines • Otherwise the effect is minimal (Japan & China opt for isolation, Europeans act as shipping agents for Asian products)
