What if someone approaches you without potential?

  • Is everyone in your club an Olympic Rower?

What if you aren’t sure how to integrate someone/don’t have the right equipment?

  • Ask for advice – Me, or British Rowing

  • Get them started on an ergo

    • – BUCS Indoor events

  • Explore the option of loan equipment

  • Apply for a grant

It does not have to be labour intensive or expensive!

Final Thoughts have the right equipment?

  • Hopefully you know who to contact! – ME!

  • Hopefully you are more open to someone with a disability joining your club

  • Hopefully we can change this statistic:

173,379 people with a disability in British Universities

Less than 1% involved in sport
