  2. It’s hard to believe it’s been so many years since Princess Diana died. She was a fashion icon, and she rocked the iconic outfits that will forever define her style. The Princess of Wales was always a fashion icon, and she always dressed to impress. From her wedding gown to her iconic saree, Diana’s style was always on point.

  3. The Royal Wedding Dress: The royal wedding dress worn by Princess Diana when she married Prince Charles in 1981 at St Paul’s Cathedral in London is also known as “Wright” Dress after its designer Alexander McQueen who created this timeless masterpiece for the former Lady Diana Spencer (now Lady Diana Frances Spencer). The dress was made out of ivory silk taffeta with diamond and pearl embroidery on its bodice, train, and veil. It cost £24,000 to make in 1981 and today it would be worth over £1 million! The Pink Poodle Dress: This dress is one of the most iconic images of Princess Diana. It was worn during her first public appearance after she separated from Prince Charles, and it’s been called everything from “a calming presence” to “an explosion of color.” The princess said it was her favorite dress because of its “joyful” nature, but it also helped her get through some tough times. The pink poodle print was designed by Bruce Oldfield specifically for this event, and today the dress is part of London’s National Portrait Gallery collection.

  4. Gucci Gown: One such dress was the Gucci gown she wore to the 1985 White House dinner hosted by President Ronald Reagan. This dress was made out of a satin material with a high neckline, long sleeves, an a fitted waist. It had an empire waistline with pleats at the front and back of it. Th bodice of this dress also had trim around it that matched the color of the rest of dress. The hemline of this frock was quite long and full, falling just below her kne in length but still showing off her legs nicely due to its shapely cutout design.
