  4. Wayne Shields Memorial Awarded to students showing aptitude and promise in a vocational field Is a “need blind” scholarship 2 one-time awards of $1000 each 2009 winners were: Patric Loghry James Lammie

  5. Aaes Scholarship • 4 one-time awards of $500 each • 1 male and 1 female athlete in track • 1 male and 1 female athlete in soccer • 2009 winners were (track) David Prince Shelby Napiontek (soccer) Tyler Owens Molly Schermer

  6. Kathleen Halloran Scholarship Given to a student who intends to pursue elementary education Financial need is considered Can be a 2 or 4 year institution One time award of $1000 2009 Winners Alice Bradford Piper Courtney

  7. Kepplinger Vocational Scholarship Given to a senior planning to pursue a vocational or trade school education Must maintain scholastic standing in the upper 1/3 of their graduating class Preference is given to financial need One time award of $500 2009 winner: Cassidy Fairchild

  8. Monroe Elementary Scholarship Given to an alumnus of Monroe Elementary School One time award of $400 2009 Winner: Piper Courtney (PLU)

  9. Gallacci Scholarship Given to a senior concentrating in art Based on both need and artistic talent Recipient selected by art staff, principal and senior counselor One time award of $3000 2009 winners: Kelly Hennessy Nicole Harrison

  10. Joan Norton Memorial Scholarship Given to a senior planning to pursue nursing One time award of $500 2009 Winner: Emily Ramsey

  11. Brekke Native American Scholarship • Given to a senior who shows promise of leadership and pride in Native American tradition • Grade point average not a factor • May be used for vocational, 2 or 4 year institution • One time $500 award • 2009 winners: David Prince Zachary Schwiethale

  12. Andy Palmer Memorial Scholarship Given to the senior most recognized for creating a culture of kindness in their high school or community One time award of $1000 2009 winner: Jeremiah Farr

  13. Jorgenson Environmental Scholarship Given to a senior pursuing a degree in environmental science GPA of 3.0 or higher One time award of $500 2010 first year given
