Emerging Trends • Library Science per se is undergoing phenomenal change; • The traditional professionalism has the challenge to imbibe the IT revolution especially the Web services through Internet; • The libraries must resolve to introduce HYBRID LIBRARY SYSTEM Workshop on Growth and Development of Literature in Social Sciences, January 24, 2006

The structure and content of the social sciences and their information system & collections are closely interrelated with the social systems of the country itself (i.e., educational system, societal structures, parliamentary and legal system, social services); • Therefore, the organization and representation of the content, is often very individual Workshop on Growth and Development of Literature in Social Sciences, January 24, 2006
