  1. BECAUSE JESUS DIED ROMANS 5:6-8

  2. The darkest day that ever dawned on earth was the day Jesus was crucified. As for His disciples One had betrayed Him; One denied Him; All had forsaken Him. He was beaten spat upon humiliated. Then He was led to Calvary to die an excruciating and painful death. But because Jesus died great blessings are ours. So on this Memorial Day weekend as we remember Jesus, we should also remember the blessings we have because He died. Because Jesus Died:

  3. We Know The Love Of God That Passes All Knowledge. Ephesians 3:13-19 Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Who can understand the love of God?

  4. Psalms 8:4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? Why would He send His Son for such unworthy people as us? Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. He sent His Son to die for His enemy. Can you explain this?

  5. Isaiah 55:8-9 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Though we cannot comprehend why, we should know that God did send His Son to die for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. I John 4:9-10 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

  6. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Romans 5:6-8 While we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man--though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die. But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  7. We Have A Great Divine Companion. Christ has promised to always be us. Hebrews 13:5-6 For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you.'' So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?'' He intercedes for us. Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them. He is our Mediator. I Timothy 2:5For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

  8. There Is A Gospel To Be Preached That Can Save People From Their Sins. The word “Gospel” means Good News. If a person is sick in the hospital and the doctor says that he is cured, he can go home, that’s good news. When a person is deep in debt and they learn that they have fallen heir to a million dollars, that’s good news. Soldiers coming home from war, that’s good news. The greatest news of all is that of SALVATION AND HOPE FOR A LOST WORLD!

  9. Jesus died for a lost world to give everyone hope and the opportunity to receive eternal life. JESUS DIED We are called to this good news through the gospel. II Thessalonians 2:14 To which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Surely we would want to tell others about this good news. Mark 16:15-16 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We need to tell others about this gospel because all have sinned, but some do not know about the salvation that is found in Jesus Christ.

  10. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith.'' I John 1:7-10 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

  11. We Have A Home Waiting For Us At The End Of The Way. II Corinthians 4:16-5:1 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

  12. There is only one way to the this home. Jesus Christ He is preparing a home for us. John 14:1-6 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.'' Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?'' Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

  13. Because Jesus died many great blessings are ours. We Know The love God. We Have A Divine Companion. We Have A Gospel That Can Be Preached To Save People From Their Sins. We Have Home Waiting For Us In Heaven. ARE YOU TAKING FULL ADVANTAGE OF THESE BLESSINGS?
