EOC Makeup Exams -Welcome -Test and Item Specs -EOCs -3rd Credit -Earning a Diploma OSPI is developing two EOC Makeup exams: • EOC Makeup (Year 1), aligned to first-year PEs that are common to Algebra 1 and Integrated 1 • EOC Makeup (Year 2), aligned to second-year PEs that are common to Geometry and Integrated 2 The EOC Makeup exams: • Will be shorter than the EOC exams • Will be taken one day only • Can be taken in 2011, or later, by students who have passed an EOC course before the EOC exams were available

Who will take the EOC exams? -Welcome -Test and Item Specs -EOCs -3rd Credit -Earning a Diploma • A student currently in Alg 1/Int 1, regardless of grade level, will take the Alg 1/Int 1 EOC in May/June 2011. • A student currently in Geom/Int 2, regardless of grade level, will take the Geom/Int 2 EOC in May/June and must take the EOC Makeup Exam (Part 1) before the end of his/her senior year • A sophomore or freshman currently in Alg 2/Int 3, regardless of grade level, must take both EOC Makeup Exams before the end of his/her senior year

How Are the EOCs Scheduled? -Welcome -Test and Item Specs -EOCs -3rd Credit -Earning a Diploma • School district assessment coordinator will determine the testing schedule • Testing schedule needs to be the same at each of the schools in the district • Intended to be taken in the student’s math class with his/her math teacher proctoring • Intended to take three class periods • Schools on block schedules will need to make modifications as needed • No time limit
