Other Stuff • Addressed Two Appeals and One Complaint • Moved DySPAN-SCfromSCC41 to COM/SB • Working toward removing IEEE SASB and CSSB oversight • Working To Form Other ‘–SC’s’ • Increased External Visibility for ComSoc • IEEE SA publicity now linking to www.comsoc.org • Should strive for greater and more definitive visibility • Achieved Greater Exposure in ComSoc: • Increased presence in Publications and Conferences • Created Nanoscale Communications Research Group • Built Confidence that ComSoc is the Home for • Communications Standards (gradually moving beyond • perception that 802 is the only IEEE game in town – winning turf) 6
