  2. What is a Learning Coach? • Coaches are people who can provide guidance and advice on yourlearningpathway

  3. Who is it for? • It’s for anyone who needs some support to reach their full potential. • Students who may wish to improve from a B to A grade or D to C grade in GCSE or AS level. • It’s for those pupils who are worried about coursework, how to prepare for exams, catching up if they have been absent. • It’s for anyone who needs help

  4. What can we do to help you? • We can give you unbiased opinion ( we won’t take sides) • Support and advice….help you look at how to revise • Revision tips and strategies • Look at your own learning style ( did you know you had one?)

  5. How can we help? • Look at what’s impeding your learning • Provide help with catching up on work • Support for Young Carers • Careers and Option Advice • Advice and support if you have difficultly with a members of staff or pupil • Help and support if you have difficulties at home

  6. What happens in a meeting? • We’re not going to have-a-go at you • We are going to listen to you and your problems. • We will try and work with you perhaps to develop a guidance plan which will help you move on. • We might have to refer you to another person e.g. a Careers Advisor, another teacher

  7. How can you get in touch with us? You can be referred to a Learning Coach by…. • Head of Learning • Parent • Subject teacher • Yourself

  8. What we want you to do next? • Take a questionnaire and a leaflet on Learning Coaching. • Take your time, read the questionnaire and fill it in. Hand it into our office or to your registration teacher.
