Why did the Blitz start?
Many people hid in Anderson shelters during air raids.
Black outs help to hide the big cities from German bombs .
In the black out people had to cover their windows with blankets and turn their light out.
If a plane flew in to a barrage balloons the plane would explode.
Barrage balloons were used to force plane higher in the air and make bombs less accurate.
If a planes wing hit the razor wire holding the barrage balloon it would chop the wing off.
