  1. Iron Man Obadiah Stane Matt Scott Second period

  2. Iron Man is about a guy that builds missiles. He got captured and held hostage an they told him to build a missile but instead he built an iron man suit and broke out. Then he went home and built an even better one. Then Obadiah found out and he started to build an iron man suit. At this point in the movie was when he gave his speech. • Stark Industry Scientists on the Stakes of New Technology • The purpose of the speech was to tell the men that are building the iron man suits how important what they are working on is, and that if it was to get in to the wrong hands it would end civilization as we know it.

  3. The point of view of the author is first person. • The author wants the people working on the iron man suit to know what is at stake with what there working on. He tells them that “the tool there working on in the wrong hands could end civilization as we know it.” then he tells them that things like this only come once in a generation.

  4. Gentlemen, what is at stake here? I want you to think about this. Civilization has been preserved because the right people have had the right idea at the right time. This technology -- it comes along once in a generation. And, it's a gift -- that has been put in our hands. And why is that? It's because we have a vision, a vision for the future of this country, of this nation, of the WORLD ORDER! Because make no mistake: This tool that you're creating in the wrong hands would end civilization as we know it.  Think about what's at stake, here! http://www.americanrhetoric.com/MovieSpeeches/moviespeechironman.html

  5. When I watched the movie I didn’t like the speech because like he said in the wrong hands it could end civilization as we know it, but one problem its already in the wrong hands. • I think it is effective because in Obadiah's speech he say a in the wrong hands this tool could end civilization as we know it. • Well you don’t want the world to end, so that’s what's moving. • I do agree with the authors point of view because it could end civilization. But I don’t like that the iron man suit is in Obadiah's hands because he ids the antagonist in this movie.

  6. I do agree with the authors point of view because it could end civilization. But I don’t like that the iron man suit is in Obadiah's hands because he ids the antagonist in this movie. • I think its an interesting topic. • I would hope the audience would like my presentation. By: Matt Scott
