  3. + 3 What is IRF? • International Relief Fund • 501(c)3 • Founded in fall 2008 • Goal: Use funds to support projects members are passionate about. Address areas in distress, in great need.

  5. + 6 Some Stats • 85% of households consider “clear” water to be safe • Only 44% of homes have access to safe, treated water • Diarrhea = one of most common diseases • “yearly minimum death of 30,000 and morbidity of 3.3 episodes per child” • 77% of population lacks access to sanitation facilities • POOR POOR POOR

What You Have to Offer What IRF has to Offer • Drive • Man-power/access • Sororities, frats, families, AED, school clubs, classes • New ideas, strategies • Jump-start to the “plan” • Outreach opportunity as a group or individually (this is what med schools love!!!) • Leadership opportunities • Planning lessons, creating materials, marketing, • Future opportunities (local or international) • What this boils down to = awesome resume booster, new experience, letters of rec from CEO of a non-profit…
