  • GM wide reports with breakdown of age and gender to investigate differences across the county.

  • Specific reports for child casualties in Tameside to help identify priority primary schools for road safety education.

  • Using Mosaic to identify the types of people involved and locating them with our household Mosaic data.

  • My involvement – incorporation of RTAs into our current risk model and IRMP (Integrated Risk Management Plan)

The partnership and mast
The Partnership and MAST

  • Individual partners use MAST in different ways. It is used

    • To answer questions as they arise

    • To develop analysis for specific reports

    • As the main source of accident data

    • For national comparisons

    • As part of an analysis routine each year

  • As a partnership MAST is used to produce

    • As part of an analysis routine each year to produce the annual Partnership report

Partnership priorities report
Partnership Priorities Report

  • Norfolk County Council, Casualty Reduction Team

  • Aim: to reduce adult cycling casualties whilst promoting the use of cycles

  • Two pronged campaign, drivers and cyclists

  • Compare relative risk elsewhere

  • Focus on area of high risk, male adult cyclists

  • Long term campaign to build recognition

  • Using interactive media and face to face training

Someone s son
Someone’s Son

  • Joint campaign between South and West Yorkshire and Humber

  • Aims to increase drivers (and P2W) awareness of the risk motorcyclist face on the road

  • MAST and Mosaic used to profile rider, driver and collisions which was used to develop the campaign plan

  • Radio adverting was targeted at the times and days of the week when crashes occurred

  • MAST recently used to profile cycle collisions to extend the reach of the campaign

Road safety themed risk profiles

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue

Road Safety Themed Risk Profiles

Series of Profiles detailing those at risk of becoming a casualty

Built on our established format for targeting Community Safety activity

Consideration of various factors such as; age, Mosaic, location (tourists) etc

How we can influence them (building on the elaboration likelihood model) using Mosaic

Used to plan locally targeted activity appropriate for the targeted audience
