Prop. 39 Approved by Voters in November • Governor’s budget provided $2.75 billion over next five years for energy efficiency in K-12 schools • Legislature currently debating proposals for funding disbursement • Chevron Energy Solutions has testified several times regarding program design and procedures

  3. Governor’s Plan • K-12 school districts • Energy efficiency • $67/ADA for five years • For Jurupa that’s $1.4 million each year for five years total $7 million

  4. Anticipated Funding Process • Proposals that are shovel ready • Detailed scope of work • Pricing • Energy savings engineering calculations • Measurement and evaluation plan for savings • Proposals reviewed and approved by a State Agency • Funding awarded on a first come first served basis

  5. Chevron Energy Solutions Offer for Jurupa USD • CES assists in preparing Prop 39 application • If funding is awarded – District agrees CES will build the project • If no funding and no project – no fees for project development/application • If funded and District chooses not to have CES build the project, then District would pay a predetermined fixed fee • CES does not guarantee funding for this project

  6. Next Steps • Board Approval of our Project Development Agreement • This is the same agreement that was signed by the District for our 2011 energy project • Expected Prop 39 application submitted fall 2013
