  3. eRPM Status • Phase 1 Complete - July 1, 2009 • Routing, approval and submission of proposals to external sponsors including Grants.gov • Proposal Approval Form (PAF) • Grants.gov proposal preparation • Award notification • eResearch Proposal Management data set (PRISM replacement) Aug 08 Sept 08 Oct 08 Nov 08 Dec 08 Jan 09 Feb 09 March 09 April 09 May 09 June 09 July 09 August 09 Testing Pilot Starting 3/30/09 All Campus Release Required July 1, 09

  4. eRPM Stats • Project success attributed to collaboration with over 303 people from 67 different departments in design, development, testing & pilot effort. • 4,000 people have access to the eRPM system to collaborate. • 3,690 proposals created in eRPM from 3/30-7/31/09. • More than 17,000 PAFs in eRPM.

  7. eRPM Department Changes Process • New Department IDs created in M-Pathways Financial System (Adds & Deletes) If you have advanced knowledge of upcoming changes, contact Help Desk - Phone: 734-936-7000, option 6; E-mail: maishelpdesk@umich.edu

  8. Sample New Department Report • Report sent to Unit Liaison if new department • Research Unit Liaison completes information & sends back to Help Desk. • eRPM makes system changes.

  9. Process for Department Deletes • eRPM notifies UL of deleted department and provides a report of any associated PAFs, if applicable. • eRPM will work with Research Unit Liaison & department administrators to determine how to re-associate PAFs.

  10. Process for Department Deletes (Cont) • Unit Liaison remove all Reviewers, email notifications, & contacts for Dept ID. • Unit Liaison notify Help Desk that Dept ID no longer has active Research Activity & Research Unit Liaisons for Dept ID need to be removed. • eRPM team will remove Unit Liaison from Dept ID. • Department is not really deleted, it is marked Inactive in the Financials System & Inactive in eRPM.

  11. eRPM Tips & Tricks • Improvements have been made to the finalization process in eRPM. • Area still giving people the most trouble. • ATTACH only ONE PDF file as final proposal document. • Do not attach Word, Excel or multiple documents for a Final Proposal unless specifically indicated otherwise by the sponsor. • http://www.umich.edu/~eresinfo/erpm/docs/PM_PT_Finalize_Overview.pdf
