PAL XFEL Project Summary • Build 0.1 nm coherent X-ray source for Korean scientists. • Soft X-ray of 1 ~ 10 nm range is also covered. • 10 GeV S-band normal-conducting electron linac and out-vacuum undulators are used to generate the coherent light. • Project Period: 2011~ 2014 • Total cost: 400 Billion Won (~ 400 MUSD) • 20 BWon for FY2011 • 45 BWon for FY2012 • 85 BWon for FY2013 • Length of the building: 1,110 m
