  13. March 2010 - Orlando • Ryan Wilson, female weight lifter texted teacher asking for advice on personal problems. • Teacher suspended with pay but no serious changes and now back to work

  14. April 2010 - Chicago • Three former 18 year old students of an Illinois high school charged with harassing former teacher, by hacking her Facebook and e-mail accounts. • Students face misdemeanour charges of computer tampering and harassment via an electronic communication device.

Guidelines • Use caution interacting with individual students on sites to avoid perception of bias • Set expectations i.e. you can exchange messages about course assignments, but don’t begin small talk when you see me online • Course requests such as asking for an extended deadlines must be done through a school site, not Facebook.
