Distribution of Content on the NCLEX Jenna Winters Introduction The purpose of this assignment is to apply communication and collaboration in the use of nursing research as well as assess current research findings and apply them to clinical practice (Singleterry, 2014). Data is used in nursing to increase knowledge, educate, persuade and advocate. This data represents categories that will be on the NCLEX exam reflecting the needs of patients across the lifespan in a wide range of settings. This data came from the NCLEX-RN Detailed Test Plan candidate version (NCSBN, 2012). Level of Measure Nominal is the lowest level of measurement and involves the naming or categorizing objects or events. The categories must be distinct from each other Examples are gender, religious affiliations, marital status, and political party membership (Singleterry, 2014).
