  2. What is a Coach • "Train or instruct (a team or player). [or] Give someone extra teaching. [or] Teach a subject or sport as a coach. [or] Give someone instructions as to what to do or say in a particular situation. [or] Give someone professional advice on how to attain their goals."

  3. What does a Coach do • Lead • Mentor • Motivate • Teach • Advise

Essential Skills • 1st Touch \ Receive \ Trap – On Both sides of the Body while stationary and on the move. • Passing Skills (Push, Slap, Hit)– On Both sides of the Body while stationary and on the move. • Carry \ Dribbling \ Elimination skills - On Both sides of the Body while at speed. • Tackle \ Steal \ Shave - On Both sides of the Body while stationary and on the move. • Game Awareness – an understanding of how to work a 2v1 \ 3v2 situation. Aware of teammates, opposition and space on the field.

Running a Training Session • Theme; What do we need to work on. • Fun warm up – 10min • Skill Development – Drill – 15min • Drink Break – 2 min • Skill Development – Game 15min • Warm Down – Revise\Review 5min • Theme; What do we need to work on. • Fun warm up – 10min • Skill Development – Drill – 15min • Drink Break – 3 min • Skill Development – Game 20min • Drink Break – 3 min • Conditioning Game – 15min • Set Plays – 10min • Warm Down – Revise \Review 5min
