  1. What are the different types of testing performed by the Metal Testing Machine? The metal testing machine is used in many industries to assess the properties. The procedure of testing can be according to the industrial requirement for the internal standards. In this PDF, we will discuss what are the different types of testing that are performed by the metal testing machine. 1.Cupping testing: This testing performed by metal testing machines might sound weird but is quite important as any other test process. It determines the draw ability of the metal sheets. Moreover, the cupping testing machine is also used to check the adhesion and drawability of the coating on the surface. The metal sheets that are prone to dents due to external forces where sheet or coating tend to crack. 2.Tensile Testing: This is performed to check the physical and mechanical properties of the specimen. It helps in analyzing ductility, brittleness, stiffness, and strength of the metal in stressed conditions. The metal testing machine defines the resistance of the specimen against the breakage when an outward pull is exerted on it. This may lead to a deforminity like breakage of the sample. Though the sample may elongate or fracture depending upon the mechanical properties and how stiffness and ductility can be analyzed.

  2. 3.Salt Spray Testing: In order to analyze the corrosion resistance of the specimen, the sample is exposed to a saline fog and it is kept in the chamber for a certain amount of time. After the cycle is over, the specimen is analyzed visually for any failure and it is quite important to know that if there is any regression in the production process, the fog is the composition of 5% of NaCl solution with the remaining water content.
