Units that we can apply • US5946 – Use computer technology to present a topic. • The design identifies the topic, purpose, and target audience for the presentation. • The design identifies the method of presentation and the computer applications to be used to create the presentation and present the topic. • The design identifies sources of information consistent with the topic, purpose and target audience. • The design outlines the content and format of the presentation. • The information is relevant to the topic, and is consistent with the purpose and target audience. • The information is organised for the method of presentation. • The content of the presentation is consistent with the presentation design. • The information is edited and formatted according to the presentation design. • The information is communicated to the audience specified in the presentation design. • The information is communicated using the method specified in the presentation design.

Multiple people can edit your pages, and each change is recorded so you can collaborate with everyone in your group. • Shown below is our class wiki. • www.tongariroict.wikispaces.com • You will find your resources and tasks listed out in this wiki. • You can leave messages from me or each other at this wiki if you would like to or just come up and ask me. • You can also upload and download files.

Your Brief • You are to develop a Presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint and at least one other computer application e.g. Web Browser, MS Excel, MS Word, etc. • The topic you can choose needs to be one of the following: • A hobby that you do. • Some sport that you play. • Something about Turangi. • Something about your Whanau or Iwi e.g. history. • A topic that is of current interest in the media. • You need to present your topic to me for approval before going any further.

Your brief continued • Your presentation should last at least 15 minutes and you will need to talk to the slides that you show. • You should include computer graphics and/or multi-media in your presentation. • You will need to keep a diary or log of where you have obtained your information from.

  8. Key steps • Logon to our Wiki, sign up, and review the site. • Download these templates from the resource page: • Presentation Brief • High Level Plan of Action • Stakeholder Analysis • Complete your presentation brief and let me sign-off before you do anything else. • Copy these steps into your high level action plan and add any more that you think you have to do. • Complete the stakeholder analysis.

Stakeholder analysis • What are stakeholders? • What is a stakeholder analysis? • In doing a stakeholder analysis you are: • Deciding who your key stakeholders are. • Explaining why they are key stakeholders e.g. Why have you picked them? What would they want from you? How can you deliver this to them? • Anything else? • Your key stakeholders are your target audience.
