Image types • JPEG • Good for complex imagery, best format for photos • Does NOT support transparency • GIF • Good for simpler imagery, large areas of flat color • Supports transparency, animation • PNG • Not supported by all browsers • For simpler images, better than GIF, more than 256 colors • Supports transparency, NOT animation • EPS, AI • Can’t be used “as is” • Can be resized, then saved as .jpg, .gif, or .png
