  1. Write Into the Day March 18, 2014 p. 64 1 paragraph: Today marks the first walk in space. Would you liked to have been the first person to walk in space? Why or why not? If you were not here yesterday, get the study guide out of Monday’s folder.

Make-Up Work While we are working on our individual assignments today, if you need (or think you need) any make-up/missing work, you may see me ONLY at that time Remember, we will not be having a make-up work day, so you need to see me on your own time to receive your missing work ALL work is due to me by next week Wednesday, 2/26

  3. Grammar- Phrases & Clauses between Subjects & Verbs Take notes on p. 65, copy all The number of a subject is not changed by a phrase or clause following the subject. Example: The lights on the Christmas tree create a festive atmosphere. The prepositional phrase on the Christmas tree does not affect the number of the subject lights.

  4. Last one: Another example The distance between the two posts is eight feet. The prepositional phrase between the two posts does not affect the number of the subject distance.

  5. Practice: Copy the following 5 sentences. Identify the subject in each sentence. Then, choose the form of the verb in parentheses that agrees with the subject. You do not need to copy the questions, however, you do need to copy the writing prompt and write at least 2 full paragraphs. Writing Prompt: Identify an important life lesson you take away from these Jewish families’ experiences. Support your response with evidence from the selections.
