  2. Started in 1973 in San Francisco as a backup group. Jazz-fusion style music Not very successful until Steve Perry joined in 1977. Drifted apart in 1987 but reunited in the 1995 and still touring today. Lead singers have been Steve Perry, Steve Augeri, and Arnel Pineda. History

  3. Steve Perry • Born in 1949 in California • Inspiration was Sam Cooke • “Big and Versatile voice” • Left in 1986, returned not as lead singer.

  4. Steve Ageri • Born in 1959 in New York • Became lead singer in 1998 • Unable to continue in 2006 due to throat disease.

  5. Arnel Pineda • Born in 1967 in the Philippines • Rough childhood • Previously preformed in The Zoo and Intensity 5 • Joined Journey in 2007 as lead singer
