  4. Meaning of the term “navigator” • a virtual instrument which allows a student to choose an aspect of school culture interesting for studying; study digital materials and develop the course with his own creative works • the navigator is teachers’-students’ network

  5. “The Navigator in Contemporary School Culture” • is based on teens cultureand teens’ interests • can be used to organize educational process in an unusual creative way • can be used to motivate students during the lessons as well as during after-school activities • can be developed by teachers of different subjects for students of 13-16 years old • includes teaching-studying materials, the bank of students’ works and projects, interactive discussion of actual issues

  7. Student’s role Chooses the educational route: the aspect, subject and course he is interested in Creates and develops his own project or work; takes part in discussions Studies the subject through interactive lectures, tasks, games Evaluates his work on different stages

  8. Teacher’s role Evaluates the results of the student’s work; takes part in discussions Creates and up-dates ICT-based teaching materials Recommends an educational course; monitors and coordinates studying process

  9. Emphasize on meta-subject skills Capable confident learners who are ready to solve communicative and social problems E-learning materials focused on providing core skills and competences
