  1. You will be selecting an individual science research project. The following websites will help you in selecting your project. http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas.shtml http://www.scienceproject.com/ http://www.energyquest.ca.gov/projects/index.html • Slides 1-8 (Project Title through Procedure) completed and printed on Oct. 24th for peer review. (print as handouts) • Your project is due Dec. 5th and will be presented in class the following week. REMEMBER to always save your PowerPoint (PPT) to your H drive!!!!!!   2. Your name Project Title

  3. Write here about the question you are trying to solve Question or Problem

  4. Summarize what you learn about your problem or how others have tried to solve it. This should set up the “because” part of your hypothesis. Include the sources of your information. Research

  5. You should have 2-3 sources which will help you explain why you think your investigation will be helpful. Research

  6. If………………then………………..because………..If………………then………………..because……….. Again, your “because” statement should relate to that research you did prior to your investigation. Hypothesis

  7. Independent Variable: (what are you testing) Dependent Variable: (what are you measuring) Controlled Variables: (what are you keeping the same so it doesn’t affect your results) Variables

  8. Write NUMBERED steps with exact details about how you will perform your experiment 1. 2. etc…. Procedure

  9. Use a data table to show your quantitative and/or qualitative data. Data

  10. This will show a visual representation of your data, so it is easier to understand. Graphs

  11. Give some proof that you did the work!! Pictures

  12. State whether your hypothesis was supported or not supported. Infer a conclusion based on your evidence. Write further questions or research that could be done. Include any surprises that you noticed. Conclusion
