  2. What does paraphrasing mean? • Paraphrasing means to put information into your own words. • If you steal someone else’s words or work it is called plagiarizing.

  3. What are idioms? • Idioms are phrases that incorporate figurative language. • Figurative language is the opposite of literal language. • It is not to be taken seriously.

  4. There are many ways to paraphrase a sentence. • Find synonyms: other vocabulary words that mean the same thing • Change the word order but maintain grammar

  5. Paraphrase this sentence. • 1) The beautiful bride was getting cold feet about her wedding day.
