  1. Tips to Remember While Dispensing Light Curable Fluids There are several manufacturing industries where small components are treated to create bigger and composite machinery or spare parts of other heavy machinery, industries like aerospace, optical, electronics, packaging, appliances, automotives, etc. These industries rely heavily on technology for mechanical processes also. Dispensing valves are used in the liquid dispensing machines that are used in light curable fluids. Diaphragm valves are required to provide accuracy and precision in conducting micro-shot dispensing of fluids like adhesives, solvents, alcohol and acids. Dispensing of such micro components in production is often compromised because of callous mistakes. Not only do these mistakes hinder the quality of the components they are applied on but also the end product. Technicians working on dispensing machines must therefore, be aware of certain guidelines to avoid any such impedimentary issues during manufacturing: Use homogenous and compatible substances- Liquid dispensing is done both manually and through automated dispensing solutions. In automated dispensing, the main process is carried out by the pressure zone connected to the nozzle and dispensing valves the light curable adhesive in use. Preferred element for metallic fitting should be 300 series stainless steel as any other element can sue polymerization of the fluid/adhesive in use. dispensing valves are used for liquid dispensing. The material used in dispensing system, should be compatible with Use of purging process to avoid entrapment of air bubbles- While transferring the empty containers of adhesives from the dispensing system, some air bubbles may occur and get trapped inside the fluid lines. Purging the fluid line after refilling the container will help in preventing air blisters. Use of opaque fluid lines- Transparent or translucent plastic lines should not be used to ensure that polymerization do not take place. Instead, use black or thick colored opaque plastic fluid lines. Maintaining air pressure-

  2. Excessive air pressure during coating of adhesives may cause the air to dissolve in it. Pressure more than 30 psi generally causes air to dissolve in the adhesive causing air bubbles trapping in the fluid. Uselarger ID fittings and tubing, fully-opening the dispense valve and using appropriate dispensing needle else use a 'Ram style pail' pump to maintain pressure. Use of simple pressure pots over high sheer pumps and valves- Gear pumps often produce shearing and are therefore, not suitable for light curable materials. Instead, pneumatic and ram style pressure pot system is recommended as they do not cause polymerizations and clogging the system.
