  4. www.sanjeevkapoor.com Ingredients Carrot,cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1 medium Cauliflower florets 10-12 French beans,cut into 1/2 inch pieces 15 Shelled green peas 1/4 cup Basmati rice,soaked 11/2 cup Oil 3 tablespoons Bay leaves 2 Cloves 5 - 6 Cinnamon 1 inch stick Green cardamom 4 - 5 Black cardamom 1 - 2 Ginger-garlic paste 11/2 tablespoons Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon Green chillies, finely chopped 2 Salt to taste Yogurt 1/2 cup Saffron (kesar),Mixed in ¼ cup milk a few strands Fresh mint leaves, chopped a few Ginger,cut into thin strips 2 inch piece Deep fried onions 1 cup Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon Kewra essence a few drop

  5. www.sanjeevkapoor.com Method Put rice cooker on cook mode and pour oil in it. Add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon, green cardamoms and black cardamoms and sauté till fragrant. Add onions and sauté. Add carrot, cauliflower and beans and sauté. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and green chillies and mix well. Add 3 cups water, drained rice and mix. Add salt and mix. Cover the cooker and let it come to a boil. Add green peas, cover and cook. When the rice is almost done, add yogurt, saffron milk, few mint leaves, ginger strips, deep fried onions, garam masala powder and kewda water and mix lightly. Cover and seal the edges with dough. Cook till done. Serve hot with a raita of your choice.
