  1. Triassic Period By: Emily , Sarai , Brittney , And Sandra.

  2. Time Period • The Triassic time period was 248 to 206 million years ago.

  3. Plants • One of the Triassic plants was Glossopteris. • Glossopteris is a genus of extinct seed fern whose fossils are found throughout India , South America , Australia and Antarctica. • Glossopteris is about 12 ft. tall

  4. Animals • A type of animal in the Triassic period was the Pterosaurs and another animal is Saltopus. • Pterosaurs was a flying reptile that lived during the time of dinosaurs and the Triassic period. • Saltopus was a fast tiny meat-eater. • It was two feet long and two pounds , the size of a small cat.

Major Events • The triassic period was an important period , it witnessed the advent of dinosaurs . • The first flying vertebrate , pterousaurs came into existence during this period . • The flowerflourished this period. The name of the flower was angiosperm. • The angiosperms scientific name is Magnoliophyta.

  6. Facts The end of the Triassic Period. • The Triassic period was desolate in earth’s history. • The start of the triassic, earth landmasses, had coalesced • Pangaea, a supercontinent is, like a giant. • The giant ocean called panthalassa is surrounding Pangaea.

  7. Triassic animals These were some of the animals in the early or late Triassic period.
