  1. Foldable 1. Take a piece of your journal paper and make a hot dog fold over from the right side over to about 1 inch from the center crease.

  2. Foldable 2. Now, divide the right hand section into 5 sections by drawing 4 evenly spaced lines. 3. Use scissors to cut along your drawn line, but ONLY to the crease!

  3. Foldable 4. Write EXPONENTS down the left hand side EXPONENTS

  4. Foldable 5. Fold over the top cut section and write MULTIPLYING (SAME BASE) on the outside. Product Rule Same Base EXPONENTS 6. Reopen the fold.

  5. Foldable 7. On the left hand section, write an example of multiplying powers with the same base. Same base, Add Exponents (3•3•3)(3•3•3•3) 37 8. On the right hand side, write the properties of exponents. EXPONENTS 9. Continue the previous steps for each of the properties of exponents.
