  3. CAH Supplement Two key objectives of new CAH/RH Supplement Funding increase--$19.8M to $29.8M RECs are eligible for an additional $6,000 per CAH/RH (for a total of $18,000 per CAH/RH). Addressing “uncovered” areas Certain RECs may request full funding (i.e. $18,000) for CAHs/RHs in uncovered areas in NH, GA, NE There are an estimated 2,073 Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) and Rural Hospitals with less than 50 beds (REC can work with either outpatient or inpatient for the purpose of supplement. 3 3
