Adolescent Literacy Elements focus on job-embedded professional development, reading and writing in all content areas, data-driven instruction, strategic intervention, and collaborative leadership . Core Components Successful Results • Literacy Leadership Team & Reading Interventionist and Coach • Standards Based Curriculum • Assessment System to screen, monitor, and diagnose needs • Research-based strategies • Literacy across the curriculum • Professional Learning and Resources Proposed Increase of Program 7,000 Students (+20 schools) No. of Additional Graduates = 105 (2 New Graduates Per 100 Served)

  10. Career and Technical Education ExpansionProvides students a challenging relevant curriculum. Students are provided opportunities for work-based learning, dual enrollment credit, and Industry Based Certification (IBC ) attainment. Main Initiatives Successful Results • Dual Enrollment • Articulated Credit • Industry Based Certifications • Work Based Learning • Career Awareness Activities • Business and Industry Relations * All Sites; ** LTC Only Proposed Increase of Program 2,000 Students (1 IBC per 115 schools) No. of Additional Graduates = 200 (10 New Graduates Per 100 Served)
