  3. Stats about our Country • Southern and Western Hemisphere. • Bordering: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Peru • Population: 7,897,116 • Language: Spanish

  4. Our Position • Bolivia is a bad place to build a Home Depot -Awful history - Bad location - Terrible infrastructure

  5. Historical facts • They have bad wars • Bolivian War of Independence (1809-1825) • Chaco war (1932-1935) • Damage country • Bad ruler (Luis Garcia Meza) • People to die • Religion is interesting -Serious about beliefs

  6. Location • Death Road -Dangerous -Narrow -Fastest route • Dry lands are hard to walk through. -No water -Very hot • forest -48% of natural recourses (has deforestation laws)

  7. Movement (Infrastructure) • Busy roads • Highways: total: 60,282 km • paved: 3,979 km; unpaved: 56,303 km • Lots of traffic • Small ports • In between: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay • No sea ports • Crowded • Smaller airports • Not enough space

  8. Even though… • Bolivia has: • Big population • Lots of natural resources • Freedoms • Bolivia is not a good place for a home depot because: • History • Location • Infrastructure

  9. Conclusion • Wants to expand to Central or South America • Bolivia is a bad place to build a Home Depot -Bad history -Bad location -Bad infrastructure • Bolivia is not a good place for a Home Depot because Frank Blake will loose money.
