  1. The Meaning of My Name Gabrielle Charmayne Barton

  2. Gabrielle • The meaning of Gabrielle is “God is my strength.” • The origin of Gabrielle is French. • My mom picked it because it sounded pretty and no one in my family had that name yet.

  3. Charmayne • Charmayne was my cousin Priscilla’s middle name. Priscilla was born without the left side of her heart. She died when she was eleven days old. • My mom gave me the name Charmayne in honor of Priscilla. • Today Priscilla would have been sixteen years old.

  4. Barton • The name Barton came from the English men. Only because my great, great grandfather’s Navajo name was GuyShortie or in Navajo, Biyeh (Bee-yet without the “T”.) The white men wanted to send him to a boarding school in Shiprock and could not pronounce his name. Since they could not pronounce his name they named him Stewart Barton. Barton has no meaning that we know of.

  5. Gabi • Gabi is one of my nicknames because my family thinks I talk too much. • Gabby is a common nickname so it just had to be mine. My mom thought the spelling, “Gabby” was to common, so she made it similar to hers. Most people spell Trudy with a “Y”. My mom spells Trudy with an “I”. Since Gabby is usually spelled with a “Y”; my mom had me spell it Gabi, with an “I.” • My mom always tells me that I grew into my nickname.

  6. Gabster/Gabs • Gabster comes from my Aunt Tammy. One day she started fooling around with my name and came up with “Gabster.” Ever since then that name has stuck with me. • Gabs is almost the same way with Gabster. No one remembers how or who came up with it.

  7. http://youtu.be/yBlnPd_Jlio “My Music” by Gabi Wilson

  8. Gabi Wilson • I chose Gabi Wilson’s song “My Music” because she is an inspiration to me. She expresses herself using her music. “My Music” is basically Gabi telling everyone what her interests include. Gabi is a wonderful musician is probably on her way to a record deal. She has been an inspiration to many girls across the country. Gabi started playing and writing music when she was three years old. Since then she has been on Disney Channel’s Next Big Thing, which is a singing competition for teenagers.
