National Archives & Records Administration 22nd Annual Preservation Conference • Before You Rush Out to Incorporate One or More Fire Protection Systems: • Conduct a thorough risk assessment • Do everything possible to reduce the exposed fuel loading • Eliminate possible ignition sources and protect those that cannot • be eliminated • Establish and enforce fire safety protocols
